Surprise, Surprise

Yes, folks. I am STILL at the same point as I was Monday. He did strip my membranes again, but since I'm not dilated very big it may not do anything... like last time. There is always a chance that I could have it, but it looks like I've got another week(ish). The good news is Dr. Astle will be the on-call delievery doctor next weekend. He is by far my favorite doctor, so I think I would actually be okay waiting for him to get back. Plus, the longer my baby is inside the bigger his thighs and cheeks will be!!

One Comfy Uterus

So I went to the doctor again today for a checkup.  I was hoping to be dilated to a 4 or 5, but when I was in this morning he said that I look the same as last week.  Are you kidding?!?  Doesn't this baby know how much fun it is OUTSIDE of the uterus?  I don't know what I have to do to get him out of there.  If anyone has a pogo stick I could borrow that would be great!

Another Appointment...

I went to the doctor again for a checkup, only this time I saw Dr. Ott. Last Tuesday Dr. Astle broke his hip while he was on a bike ride and will be out of the office for a few weeks. He said that he still is going to deliver my baby, so I'm crossing my fingers that he heals quick! Anyway... I am now dialated to about a 3, I'm totally effaced, and he stripped my membranes today. Since he stripped my membranes I was thinking I might go pretty soon here, but he told me that I look like I'm on track for a March baby. BUMMER!!! That means probably 2 more weeks of hauling this lump around. At least that will give Dr. Astle some time to recover.

Baby Update

So I just had another appointment today and here's the scoop: I am still dialated to a 1 (same as last week), but! I am now 75% effaced and the baby HAS dropped. He said to remember that most women go over their due date with the first baby, so not to get set on having it early. It's better to shoot for a little later and be surprised if it comes early. But at this point it's so hard to think that it could be LONGER than 2 more weeks! I'll hang in there.

BIG BELLY

I thought it was about time for another post. And since I don't really have anything else in my life going on, I decided to have some fun with my big, huge belly!! Somedays I literally feel like this baby is going to POP out! It will be so nice to get rid of this bulge in the middle of my body. Only 18 days!... hopefully.
